Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

2nd AMV is out

Post by eya » Thu Sep 29, 2005 6:17 pm

Hi! This is my second AMV:

Anime: Bleach
Music: IMX - Clap your Hands (and three other songs - all four songs were cut)
URL: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=90908

It's a very short and hopefully funny AMV so I think it's worth a try.
Please leave an opinion.
Thank you.

Hahahaha well that was certainly odd :P Though that's obviously what you were going for.

It actually seemed more like a MAD than an AMV. Either way, I could see this getting a big reaction from a con audience. Random, funny shit :P Good work.

It reminded me more of a MAD than an amv, but either way very amusing, and twisted. When posting something in the announcement forum, I'd recommend a more impressive title than "2nd AMV is out", you'd probably attract a lot more attention. As it is now, it sounds more like someone's new LBZ where they added more than 1 edit to it.

Thank you very much for taking the time to watch the vid and to reply to this topic. :D

@Orwell - Probably you're right. Next time I'll choose a more appealing title.

Maybe I'm now going to out me as a total rookie but what the hell is a MAD?

Very roughly speaking, MADs are generally associated with fan-made videos from Japanese creators, oftentimes using still images and effects to create the video, rather than whole animated scenes. However, the line between MADs and AMVs has been getting quite blurry over the last coupld of years.

It's still an AMV. Just an effect-whored one.

These are MADs, and they're not effect-whored. :|

But I digress.
