Bloodlust + Big Band = Internal Sync?

Post by Ileia » Sat Aug 13, 2005 2:22 am

If there’s anything that I enjoy the most about AMV’s, it’s internal sync. I find it more interesting to watch than editing sync. Also, I’m a cheater and I think that internal sync is easier than editing sync. :-P

So, I just wanted to a make a little video that made as much use of internal sync as possible for me. I may make more, preferably using an anime and song choice that should NOT go together. (LOL, Bloodlust and big band!).

Internal Sync Experiment #1
Anime: Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
Song: Hey, Pachuco!
Artist: Royal Crown Revue

This is good solid editing with more than enough internal synch to feed a decently sized village

download it and be surprised by an original concept, the likes of which I've never seen before

good job Ileia

/end :x
Oh how convenient. A theory about God that doesn't require looking through a telescope.

Thanks! :D

Also, if I were to rate how much internal sync was in this video, I'd say enough to feed a moderately sized village. 8-)

That's one heck of a weird visual/audio combination.

It's interesting to see just how fast the cuts have to be to keep up with the music, and how much violence was used to keep the whole thing moving. Great timing too. Looking forward to the next experiment. :P

Another very well done, in the beginning the internal sync was very nice, but, as it went on, it felt.... like something was missing, it wasn't bad, and there's nothing definite, maybe I've just seen too many good bloodlust amvs. That was certainly a interesting song choice for this anime, but I think it worked out overall with the sped up footage. I'm looking forward to the next experiment in interal sync, lots of that, mixed in with some external sync makes for a great amv.

Yeah, I really like that song and I've been itching for a way to use it in a video.

I'm searching around for a good song, but I can't imagine it'll be too long after that.

Thanks for the nice comments, you guys! :D

Schweet video Ileia. That song coupled with that video I found to be an odd combination but I think that's what made it good. Unexpected and totally worth watching...vampires and swing...it just don't get no better than that.

YAY! I must be a big boy cuz I have an avatar ;p.

Lol, nice vid Ileia! You have my comments so I won't leave them here, but I will repeat that internal sinc (getting the characters to move to the beat, not just cutting along the dotted lines) is alot more interesting than normal sinc. Easier? Maybe easier to accidently do a little cuz there is so much to do, but if you're trying to do alot ya have ta cut the clips into tiney peaces and play with the speed! Easy, maybe, but it takes FOREVER! Nice job on this one! True, VHD was an... interesting choice ;p.

Groovy without pretension.

That is all.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Damn. I was going for "far-out" or "peachy-keen", but I guess groovy works. :P
