If you're still reading after that, I know it doesn't sound very promising (it wouldn't to me), but as they say, it's not what you do it's the way that you do it.

I thought the motif for the vid was cool and original, as was most of the editing. Some of the actiony parts could have hit the viewer a little harder though, but overall it was an enjoyable vid

Pretty cool vid. I liked the whiteness. Most people would have just left it black, so that really gives it some personality.

yes, personality but wrong personality imo... white= happyness, not Akira insane mangled carnage.

On the white, I really came up with the visual style before choosing the anime and song, so any reasoning about it is purely afterthought. I didn't rationaly choose the combination Akira/white background, but it did seem to work to me. I agree that black better expresses the carnage and schizofrenia of Akira, but I wasn't really looking to make something with all the heaviness that Akira can potentially bring to a video. I suppose the white is intended more as a contrast to the insanity of Akira than a katalyst. The same goes for the song, which (compared to the movie) is relatively happy.
