Another one of those one-clip deals

Every so often a song lines up with a stretch of anime so well that any editing that you do to it will probably make the match worse. This happened to me.

Howl From The Soul

Weirder still is that it's not just action synch that develops in this pairing; there's an almost disturbing degree of thematic consonance. Dark Side of the Moon/Wizard of Oz it ain't, though.

This video was made in October 2003 as a result of having Death's Sound of Perseverance record playing while cutting up Excel Saga for two unrelated videos. Virtually no effort beyond having a sharp ear and an attentive eye was expended in its production, and it is offered mainly as a curiosity rather than any exhibit of skillz.

Mods: If this does not rate as an AMV, feel free to lop it out of the catalog. For nearly a year and a half, I didn't think it really rated as an AMV either.

its amazing that its all one clip, but it still looks like it was a first time editing job that worked out really well, out of luck more than anything.

Well, that's what newbies do, aint it? Cut some digisub so that it doesn't overrun some song and hit export. In that context, this could be taken as a baseline for editor involvement; if a video at this level can be made without trying, anybody who wants to be commended for effort needs to go a notch better.

(Yes, a dozen or so of my own works also fail this test.)

I may be able to hunt up the MPEG2 of this over the weekend if you want something without those significant compression problems.
