Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Alright, two bad things first off (lets get them outta the way).
The video quality wasnt as good as it could have been (why did you chop off the edges of the 16:9?) I think the encoding coulda been a bit better for an xvid, not totally bad, but it coulda been better.
You know how I feel about this paticular brand of music too, so I'm a bit relived it's not as "mainstream" rock as you usually choose to do. It's not bad stuff. Good choice overall for your tastes (and afterall we do make videos for ourselfs overall).
The editing is way above anything you've done before, very good timing. Nice use of fade to blacks, I liked the color RGB warps at the start of the video, it was a good choice for that paticular scene. Good stuff
.
The majority of the video focused on tetsuo, which is really a nice story too be told, although I have to say.. While it was MUCH better editing than most akira videos, I think you mighta done something with the story a bit to make it more diffrent (once again: story wise).
Anyway, it's a really good video. You've definitly been improving and I'm glad to see it man, I was a bit worried for a while that you wouldnt be coming back to editing. But you did, and you really improved alot with this one.
Good job man

That's partly my fault too. I was trying to help with that, but I think he has a version of xvid that I'm not familiar with (although I didn't do any cropping...). If I were able to see his video before he released it, I might have been able to help more, but my computer is retarded. I put the resolution to 520 x 384 because he was getting file sizes that were too high, and he couldn't find out how to change the bit rate. Since I'm not familiar with his version, and wasn't there, I couldn't help there either. But he said he was happy with how it looked, and 55 mb is not unreasonable at all, so it seemed fine by me (despite the time/size ratio) since I couldn't actually see the video. Now that I think about it, I should have asked for some screenshots... >_<Voices_Of_Ryan wrote:The video quality wasnt as good as it could have been (why did you chop off the edges of the 16:9?) Anyway, I hope to get this soon. \m/
Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.
