Rockman.exe - Bring Me To Life

Post by ryoneko » Sun Sep 05, 2004 8:19 pm

I finally debuted my video, after many revisions. :) Special thanks to everyone who helped me out in finding unsubbed clips and whatnot. XD (Self note: making AMVs to a heavily edited and dub-only anime SUCKS)

I entered this into the AMV Contest at AnimeFEST 2004, and was very surprised when it won Best Action. I can't give enough thanks to the judges and to those who complimented me. :) This was just my second video to produce, but I worked very, very hard on it.

Anime: Rockman.exe (or Megaman NT Warrior to you dub freaks)
Song: "Bring Me To Life" by Evanescence

This centers mostly between Rockman and Blues (Megaman and Protoman), with a bit of Forte & Shuryou stuck in there (Bass and Kid Grave). Just like in the classes Rockman genres, Rockman and Blues are still each other's greatest rivals, as well as Forte (who never seems to win out on top).

The main concept was that in this anime, each human operates a "Net Navi", or a computer programmed life-like being. They use these navis to do everyday internet functions, but also to battle each other.

I brought the theme of "Bring Me To Life", in the sense that these human operators bring out the full potential of their individual Net Navis with the bond they share. Netto and Rockman especially prove true in this, especially since in the video game version they were even brothers. On the other side, Enzan and Blues rely on each other's strengths to become the best they possibly can be. Forte, sadly, is a loner. XD He has no operator.

Anyways, I hope you all enjoy. I love making videos, and am working hard on my next one for next year's contests. :) I would appreciate any serious critiques so I can see how I can further improve!

I just saw this at AnimeFEST! Congradulations on winning. It was pretty good editing, espicially for only being your second one. Plus I'd never heard or seen anything of Rockman/Megaman.

Thank you. :) I was so happy to share it with everyone at AnimeFEST. ^_^ Being my first contest, I was very nervous. I just wanted to see what other people thought of it, I had no idea it might win. ^_^; lol. O_o *nearly burst into tears at the contest*
