Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

My first AMV. FLCL + Andrew Bird.

Post by UWC » Mon Sep 22, 2003 7:36 pm

I never thought I'd make an AMV, but after I downloaded several FLCL AMVs and only found a couple that focused well on the characters, I decided that I would make one. And since I"m a huge Andrew Bird fan and hadn't found any AMVs using his music, I looked through my collection and found "Action/Adventure," which I decided to apply to Mamimi and Naota. I think it worked out really well. I'm especially proud of the instrumental sections.

Anyway, here we go:

Oh, and excuse the occasional subtitle and odd transition; I couldn't get a decent video editing program to work on my computer, so I ended up using Windows Movie Maker.

Yeah, lame newb here, but, loath though I am to bump this, I really want to see what experienced AMV-smiths think of my video. I guess timing and scene selection are my main concerns. I would have added transitions and cleaned it up some if I had more than Windows Movie Maker.
