Re: BNA: Bad News Bears
That is a pretty good fit! Trailers used to be pretty long and drawn out, didn't they? That didn't really help things here, but I guess it is what it is. I'm also not really a fan of the static effect over the whole thing, but I understand why you used it, I just don't think it does a good job of creating that "VHS" look just on its own.

Re: BNA: Bad News Bears
that's a fair point. and yeah trailers used to be really long, I actually cut out about half of the original trailer to make this. Thanks for the input!Zarxrax wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 9:18 amThat is a pretty good fit! Trailers used to be pretty long and drawn out, didn't they? This works really well.
I mean, obviously the trailer is ridiculously dated and super long and terribly paced compared to anything even close to modern standards. But that's such a unique problem to have to overcome and I was really surprised by how well you managed to find scenes that matched the audio and kept a very convincing and natural feeling story moving forward at all times.
Great stuff!

Re: BNA: Bad News Bears
so I got the initial idea for this when I saw this ep for the first time (it was just so obvious) and looked up the original trailers for the 1976 movie and they were all long and terrible. I even looked up trailers for the 2006 remake and they were all lame, so I gave up on the idea. Cut to a month or so later when I rewatched the series and the baseball ep comes on and I kept saying "this would be so perfect". Decided to edit down the original trailer and just make the damn thing. Guess it worked outseasons wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 10:28 amThis works really well.
