I appreciate all the comments on previous AMVs and tried to work on the shots, timing and transitions for this one. This was my 1st use of any transitions or effects.
I had the song, theme idea and even some initial scenes mapped out when I was part way into the last AMV, so this one came together quickly.

Re: Sword Art Online AMV
I saw the post about your previous AMV, but I've been a little busy lately and didn't get a chance to say hi. So I'll say it now, welcome to the Org, and congrats on finishing your first AMV
.
I think that the the song + anime combo in this video was surprising good. So great job on that
. In terms of the editing, I'd just recommend that you stay from doing picture in picture type effects like the ones at 0:30. In my opinion, the best effects are the ones that feel natural. But making something look natural takes experience gained from trial and error, so keep at it
. I'd also recommend that you explore and play around with different types of sync. Here is a really good guide that explains a bunch of the different types viewtopic.php?f=2&t=92942 . Also, don't forget that when editing Action sequences, drum beats are your best friend. Don't forsake them. Here's another tutorial on what you can do with different types of sync and beats [AMVlog] Beginner's "Basics of Editing an Action AMV"
