My Hero Academia - Bakugo AMV

Post by AuroraPhoenix » Tue Nov 05, 2019 10:47 pm

This is my first AMV, so I'd love feedback on anything that I can work on developing as I think about making more AMVs.

Not bad! I like the song you chose, it really fit with Bakugo's character. Few things:
-Since this song is so upbeat, you definitely want to keep it moving. For example in the very beginning or at 0:21 we were staring at a section with little movement for too long. You could easily cut bits like those in half.
-Minor thing, but at 0:44 you should try to avoid stuff like subtitles and text, even if it was a part of the anime to begin with. It'll definitely clean up your videos a lot.
-Try playing around with effects and transitions! Even if it's not for an actual AMV just take some time to see what you can do with whatever your video editing software has. See what looks good.
-The last thing I'll say is that since this song is so "nontraditional," and the anime is very traditional, weird effects and editing can really make a difference in making the video fit with the song, which is surprisingly important in making a clean AMV.

Thanks so much for the feedback! I'll definitely keep these things in mind and try to play around more with the effects and transitions.
