Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Love, chunibiyo, delusions AMV

Post by Jedinovice » Mon Oct 26, 2015 12:54 am

I've just joined the forums and so I thought I'd link up to my latest AMV. I mean, why not, right?

It's worth seeing it ALL the way through including the titles. There is reason.

Thanks for the kind welcome. :-)

I have registered this. I registered the need for registration right after posting this and I registered it! I swear!

But I am still finding my feet.

I have absolutely no idea what that means! And I spent 15 years in computing! Don't worry, I wil direct link for now. There are some AMV's I will formally upload in time.

Cheers.

Oh wow! I hadn't seen the revised comment.
Thank you so much. I never get feedback on AMV's on Youtube so this is a first. I have no idea if I am doing job or not here! Here's hoping I can get more feedback!

Cheers.

I will be looking at people's AMV's in time and I will endeavour to give feedback - though I am terrible for being honest!

Not too bad editing still i feel like it needed much more. Well, also the way used pix-elated stuff wasn't too nice imo. Pretty interesting to see some potential in linux tho, windows really works on my nerves lately... Welp try to avoid so long credits too D:

Hi Mol. Thanks for the feedback. I never get comments on my stuff on youtube so appreciate feedback.

The video had to be short because the music I snatched was short! Not much choice! But did you watch it all the way through the titles? I did make a point in them! The titles were long for a particular reason! :D

The pixelisation...? Well, I don't use it very often in my videos and I think that is a matter of taste.

RE: Linux, yeah, it's come a long way now. People are still suck with a vision of Linux from 1996. It's not streets ahead of Windows. No, seriously. Example: of the five new UI features of Windows 10, four have been in Linux for at least five years. Linux is developing while Windows is just (over)reacting to market trends and screwing itself up.

Because of all the legacy perception regarding Linux - it is hard to use, has no usable software, you can only install software by compiling from source, etc, etc... I produced a demo video which feature Kdenlive in use. Not exactly trying to convert but I am trying to get people to assess Linux now in its own terms and not what people think it is. Almost everyone assumes Linux is a geek only OS and stuck in the 1990's. Not any longer!

If you look at my other stuff you'll get more of a sense of what Kdenlive can do. This was a pretty simple cut and done when I was desperately overworked. It's getting a bit easier now as we are FINALLY recruiting staff.

Thanks again for the comment.
