Longtime lurker here, announcing the premiere of my first AMV!
A Fate/Zero AMV edited to double as a spoiler-free fan trailer, set to World on Fire by Les Friction. I used Cyberlink Powerdirector 12 as my editing software.

F/Z is one of my all-time favorite series, and I set out with the goal of making this AMV spoiler-free so that fans of the series could show it to non-viewers to interest them in the show without spoiling them in the process. I also notice that there are a lot of fantastic Fate/Zero AMVs out there, but that a lot of them seem to rely on the same clips, and so I tried to be more original with regards to the footage I used!
Because this video was designed to also serve as a trailer, the opening six seconds are decidedly un-AMV-like, so please excuse that. I was also forced to export as an mp4 instead of as an avi due to Powerdirector 12 creating some rather infuriating blocky artifacts when exporting in avi format, so there's that.
I'm extremely grateful for all of the guides created by the community here, which were enormously helpful in putting this together! Again, this is my first AMV, and I'd appreciate any constructive feedback you guys might have. I'm not incredibly technically savvy, but I've been hanging around the site for a while and I'm familiar with some of the lingo. I'm particularly interested in any criticism regarding video quality and ways I might control that better going forward!

Re: Fate/Zero - A World On Fire
Again, first AMV, so I'm still learning how to perform post-processing, etc...
I ended up pretty dissatisfied with my video quality the first time around, so I re-exported, did some work with filters, etc... and re-uploaded the full uncompressed version here:
NEW VIMEO URL: https://vimeo.com/113248176
The final uncompressed version was around 5 GB. Every compression I attempt with Zarx264gui seems to cause a lot of blocking and loss of quality even when I run it on the slowest settings, with the best settings and deblocking set at a 2. Would appreciate any advice on how to compress better without losing quality, since I'm aware nobody wants to download a 5 gig video!
