My First Amv Parody

Well my first Amv parody..of chobits I guess

For the most part this followed the Chobits opening pretty well. I didn't get that that was what you were doing at first because the video title made it seem like it was going to be something other than a opening re creation. Personally I think had I worked on this project I wouldn't have tried to get the full song and make it an amv focused on the two characters rather than the opening recreation. However for what it was it did follow pretty well so good job on that. The only parts that didn't were at :46 where you added the particle effect, as that is not in the Chobits opening at all so I found that strange. Also where you masked out the two characters hands grasping each other seemed to move very jerky. I'm not sure if this may be because you skipped a few frames when masking or what but it stood out since everything else was masked pretty well, and it moved funny and seemed to me for a split second to have another part of the frame being masked out other than just the hands in there as well. The part at 1:06 where you used the actual show and showed moments between the characters was great. That part of the opening would have been hard to recreate if you didn't have the right clips so I was alright with you breaking from the follow the opening there, and the part after that you mad work pretty well and still fit with the opening you were recreating. The part at 1:06 if you had just done say a drama amv you could have stretched out over the length of the full song, and personally I think I would have like that a bit more. This may be partially because in my mind while I'm aware that parody's don't have to be funny my brain immediately goes down the comedy route which this one didn't so I think that's partly why I didn't get that this was you recreating the Chobits opening with another anime right away until after I watched it re read the thread title and went, "oh he was parodying the Chobits opening, it's not a comedy parody video" and then re watched it and found the actual Chobits opening on youtube to compare it to. For what it was though it wasn't bad just work a bit more on masking and making it flow smoothly.
