Long time no see here, but today I come back with a recommendation: Forget about the VCA finalists and watch this AMV right here instead... Just kidding. This is a simple oldschool character tribute for all of you Cowboy Bebop fans. I can definatly recommend this for you. It's a punch right into your nostalgia. It's for storytelling lovers.

The song is "Roland, I feel you" by "Get Well Soon", but who is this Roland? It's someone you probably know

Simple story, but i had hard time understanding why it was edited like this . Feels like scenes need more speed/dynamics alternation with song, imo. It feels almost same in more dynamic parts as in slower, well guess op doesnt, but that feels pretty out of place for me.I guess other than that its pretty fine.

From one of my best friends I heard that he interpreted the sync as 1 or 2 secs off all the time.

The pace is by design and I was very careful with the scene selection. Of course i wanted this to be slow and dragging on, but some of it just comes from limitations in the scenes and the story that I wanted to tell. I am still very pleased with it. I like it because it's different and somehow alternative to regular "mainstream" or pop style amvs (I dont want this to sound generalized or elitist).

When I zap into it. I immediatly like what I see. That is a good feeling

I'm well aware that this is not the best amv ever created and that many people will disagree on the style of the video. I'm fine with it :3

Also I will say now, I don't get ANY of these complaints about the sync or flow, it's pretty much flawless...

This might go down to interpretation. For me there is no flaw in the sync as well. That's because I synced it to atmosphere, mood and flow. The optimum in those categories probably vary from viewer to viewer. Especially from editor to editor. There is no mathematical correct answer for syncing them.

I had wild speculations about who this Roland in this song could be. I even thought about Roland being a memember of the Manhatten Project. Actually he is: Roland Emmerich. Maybe some parts of the lyrics will make "click" in your mind That jet flying into the mothership? Independence Day
