So this is a video that just won the Best Action Category for the AMV Contest for Anime Festival Orlando in 2012. Honestly wasn't sure what I expected to come from this since its a trailer and I haven't seen that many win awards at conventions I've been to, but clearly it was appreciated!

I wanted to try a few new things with this so not only did I do quite a bit of lip synching, but I delved into After Effects for the first time for that title at the end (which took about 5 hours for me to figure out how to put together).

The lip synching was something I've toyed around with in earlier videos but this is the first time that I grabbed all the different types of mouth flaps (closed/slightly open/completely open) and reconstructed words with them. I was able to do it most of the time except whenever the frame/camera is moving, but it appears to have worked out rather well for the most part.

There's actually quite a few similarities not just in content but also in framing if you compare the two trailers (link for the original provided above); I find its easiest to see just how similar if you watch them side by side.

Please feel free to leave comments/criticisms/opinions and such.
