Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

(this isn't really a "banner-worthy" type of video but i made one just for fun.)

comments:
ok well, this started off as a video for the second round of a youtube tournament, to be completely honest the combination was really just thrown together on a whim (overused sources etc). i wasn't expecting to make this over ~1min, but at some point when i had like 20 seconds of the song left to edit i finished for the sake of completion. this was ultimately finished in two sittings (at a friend's house lol) and while it's nothing amazing it was fun to edit as a quick little video.
both negative and positive criticism would be appreciated.

I've seen this video this morning and thought "awesome, this is how rap should be portrayed in an amv". I really enjoyed this video, though I felt the masks around 1:50 did neither look too good nor did they seem to serve any purpose. That's my only complaint though.
Awesome video!

thanks kev! i've always appreciated your criticism and i'm really glad you liked it. there's quite a few masks and i'm not really sure why i added them, just for transitions i guess, a lot of them ended up barely being noticeable.

Awesome video, I like it much more than Burn Fetish. I thought some of the masking transitions could have used a little work, but other than that I really enjoyed it.

Also, I read the link in that quick comment. I'm not sure if the person was posting that jokingly, but I'm going to address it anyways. Saying that rap sucks is an ignorant statement. The idea of dismissing an entire genre is childish, and to say that a genre all sounds the same, when in fact, there are multiple sub-genres is also an ignorant statement. Not to mention that there are rappers much more talented than a lot of popular rock musicians.
