Epic Troll Subs

Post by Haar119 » Fri Sep 02, 2011 12:25 pm

Simply put, I was attempting to summarize the hardships of Netto and Company during Rockman Axess, Stream, and The Movie with this video, all through a rather humorous slant on them.

Here's why it's funny: This was the theme song for Gantz. Trust me, if you haven't seen Gantz, I can sum it up with one video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-rv3_qWbCE Now, when compared to this anime, do you see the irony?

And for those of you who are annoyed by the Super Engrish Funtime subtitles: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AWCB8KQA

I appreciate the option you gave editors to have a sub or subless version. Is it wrong that I kind of treated this AMV as an OP instead of a typical AMV? Because I think it's pretty nice as an OP and sort of a "this is what this series is all about", but sort of falls short in a storytelling/recap sense.

When you start doing the picture thing around 1:08, the red/green guys go by REALLY quick and you can't really see them very easily.

The opening was also a little rough. Up until about :20 anyway. After that, you have a pretty nice pacing going.

Visually speaking, it was very "liney".

So it was pretty nice, but needed a little more work on the technical side, and perhaps a re-vamped opening? Well, that's my opinion at least. :D

No, that's kind of what I was going for initially. The plot summary idea was sort of a last minute thing.

Sorry about that, this was my first time masking with Sony Vegas, and I really didn't know what I was doing.

I've noticed that also. That probably has something to do with the fact that the DVDs were in 4:3 and I attempted to re-size the footage to 16:9(This anime ran from 2003 to 2005)

Anyway, I appreciate receiving your opinion on the video.
