Evangelion 0.22 - Shinji does (not) Mean Business

This was the first joint project by PixelBlended Studios and it won Best Comedy and Best in Show at the Otakon 2011 AMV Contest. This is the sequel to the popular AMV Evangelion 0.11 - Shinji is (Not) the Boss. With the initial vision and rough cut by l33tmeatwad, snapxynith joined in and handled all of the text and other effects for the project, adding a very much needed flare and visual punch to the video.

Some of the best typography in an AMV I've seen in a very long time.

Lip sync was pretty tight, and the sync with the sound effects was effing fun/brilliant. I did want to mention that the speed slow downs at times was a little jarring and noticeable [like with Asuka sleeping in bed].

Also extremely amusing to see something unique with Evangelion. I thought it was beyond redemption for me, but I was definitely surprised.

Extremely well done, greatly executed and extremely amusing. Definitely deserving of its high awards.

I needed a rewatch in order to fully appreciate it. The first time around I couldn't tell if I was laughing at the whole package or just the song. But the second time around...yeah the whole package is pretty hilarious. I especially loved the teeth brushing foreplay and being naked down to your socks.

Also as odd as this sounds...after watching your vid I'm even more excited for the Muppet movie coming out in November. I've heard of Flight of the Conchords before but that was in name only until I saw this.

Yeah, the clip wasn't long enough so I slowed it down with an adaptive framerate change to avoid choppiness, but looking back I realize I should have taken still shots and panned it myself.

Thanks, it means a lot to hear this from everyone. I really tried to keep them interesting even though it's the same six words during the multiple choruses.

I believe there is a lot more to pull from the EVA source but I can understand how you previously felt on it, CodeZTM. Both l33tmeatwad and I still see magic in it.
