This is the latest version of the video, with the white borders removed and some minor changes added.
Thank you for the tips ^^

Cons:
*1:33, 2:59 -- orphan frames. uh-oohhh :nono:
*The white borders. Truly didn't need to be there. It didn't serve much purpose other than when you faded out to white. If you had faded it out to black, it'd look real crappy.
*Sometimes it looked like the clip didn't fade to white entirely, so it gave a choppy transition when going on to the next clip.

Pros:
*It was kind of slow up to 2:11. Not necessarily bad, just kind of boring. It got really good during the chorus parts though.
* for using Hanbun no Tsuki
*Good job with matching your clips to the lyrics throughout the whole thing.
*It was easy to see the story, though that may be just because I've seen the anime... :P
*The song was overall very fitting of the series, especially when he would sing "Give you life."

Pretty good stuffs

OMG! Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora! Getting now.

/Didn't like the white borders, they got annoying. Is something up with the footage? It looks... just kind of off. The Orphan frames were already mentioned. Also, why render it .wmv, I use to do that too but .mp4 is better and still a small file.

/ :bzz: HANBUN NO TSUKI GA NOBORU SORA!!! :bzz2: The song fit pretty well with the anime. Your scene choice was good. It was slow but that's the way I like some of them. Overall a decent video.

hey, thx for your constructive comments ^^ i appreciate it. <3

When i pictured the amv in my head it looked really white and dreamy, but that didn't really come across when it had black borders, and fades to white with black borders just look really lame in my opinion =p That's why i chose to make the black borders white..i think using black fades on the black borderes would have given a totally different atmosphere then i had intended. =) but i see what you mean.

First of all.... LOVED IT.

The Good:

1) Great Concept, great editing to back it up.
2) Acceptable Visual Quality
3) Did very well to take me on a emotional roller coaster ride and BAWWW. ;__________;

The Bad:

1) The concept took a hair-line-fracture in the middle, when I [who has never seen the anime] thought the chick was dead, but ZOMG IM GONNA SCALE THAT HOSPITAL WALL AND SEE HER ALIVE, KAWAIIIIIIIIIIII. Either keep the chick dead, or give some sort of "hint" that she's really alive. xD
2) The white borders. Ugh.... Ew... Yuck..... No.... [I actually planned on keeping the video, SO I CROPPED THOSE SUCKERS OFF]
3) Visual quality, while acceptable, could be vastly improved upon for the utmost clarity.
4) In the future, don't use WMV, it distorts the best possible quality. Try using programs that will get you MP4 and .h264. ZarxGui or AMVSimple are your best bets, and they're both [as of now] very simple to run and operate.

But I mean, it obviously touched me, otherwise, why would I go through the trouble of cropping off the borders so I can add this to my collection?

Especially liked the end :) it's not the typical end to these videos lol. A lot I could complain about but I was very satisfied by a very artistic work! great work here!

Hehe thx a lot for your comments guys ^^

I'm thinking about maybe changing the white borders then, since nobody seems to like em =p Think i got an idea to fix it so the bars don't fade into white while the image does.
About the quality, it's the dvd quality =p I doubt it was an official dvd of it, since it was just mpeg files made into VOB, but it was the only one i could get my hands on, after all it isn't lisenced in the US or Europe, and the Japanese version i couldn't find. I tried several compressing method's (mpeg, avi, wmv) and wmv was the only one that didn't give fucked up lines between my fades while i even tried to compress it for highest quality as well.
I haven't tried .mp4 yet though, so imma give that a try now and compare the results with the wmv, ill compress it after i fix the white borders then ^^

I did try to give a hint that she was still alive =p at a certain time you see the equipment showing her pulse, which wasn't flat ^^ but i guess it's not that clear then =)

Thx for your input ^^

Yeah, seemed like not enough int sync usage to keep it going.

Tough it didn't take me for the coaster ride, the mood/flow did seem fairly good.. Excluding Code's afore mentioned fracture.
What bothers me about the white borders is it looks more like trying to hide fansub. And it makes the right/left footage miscrop apperent, notice the thin black lines that occasionally appear on either right or left in the scenes? The line doesnt extend through the white, making it a dead give away.
Even at the "highest" possible quality with WMV you will get a LOT of blurout of certain colors like RED and BLUE. Output RAW if you have the space and use one of the simple apps Code mentioned, this will vastly improve your percived quality.

Overall I do like it. If you need a tester for another project, feel free to ask.

x2. I really loved this so if you could upload another version without the borders, I'd totally keep it <3

just finished the version without the borders and some changes (like removing the orphan scenes and adding some extra scenes to make it look like she ain't dead =p) and i just tried to export it as mp4. The quality is indeed much better up untill 3:28, and then i'm getting a lot of interlacing lines, really too much actually =/ That also has to do with the dvd quality there i think, cause the footage on the dvd's all looked pretty good, but you could see that the last dvd was less in quality than the others.
I could try exporting it raw and then using another program like you suggested, but if this gives me the same result i'll need to try something else =p
anyway, i'm on it ^^
