I see your point. Still, I hold everybody responsible for their own actions, and if they want to quit I see it as a fault of theirs, not the 1337ly AMVer's. Kind of the Helter Skelter effect, only, of course, milder.
And sure it's better to inspire people... eh. I guess I kind of assumed that you guys were out to explode people's heads. Personally as a peon, I make videos because I have them running in my head and it makes me happy to see 'em for real. 'Cause I'm an idiot, of course. But I figured things were different up there in the uber1337 stratosphere. Where AMVers are
artistes and not just hacks with too much time on their hands.
Those interviews scarred me; does it show?
Of course I know people's favorites can be simple. Over the past week I've watched one in my stash a few times that's got to be eh, three years old? Something? I don't think there are any effects in it at all. But most people slag that kind of stuff, scorn it, say it's a waste of time and go back to their own AfterEffects'ed rotoscopic masterpieces. I personally like a lot of the straightforward videos, but I keep it to myself, figuring it's a sign of my own mediocrity. So thanks for exposing that shameful little secret. ^_^;;
Speaking of which, I'm talking way too much for an editor who sucks so bad. You guys are, like, famous. :X
