  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Just sayin'
See the funny thing is... There was absolutely nothing to learn from your post. Just sayin...

Kaze I would take what those guys say with a grain of salt, I think everyone does. They seem to think they are the new elitests on the block or something.

Has anyone else noticed Reda likes to DL "Nostromo" vids and bash them for being "Nostromo" vids instead of just you know... Not downloading them? Maybe because he likes to complain about them over and over again, I don't know. Then again some of his post actually had merit this time which was kind of shocking.
Lol. Good point Eva. Still though. I agree with Kazemon15 on this one. It was a MEP we did for fun. I'm happy to see this completed. Despite all the "OMGDRAMA" goin on during the course of the MEP, I had fun. Simple as that. I do take the positive with the negative, but as Eva so bluntly pointed out Arashinome, there was nothing in that post that warranted too much attention. There IS a difference between bashing a video and "GIVING" crit. Calling something "The same old Garbage that's been done time and time again" isn't really constructive criticism. This wasn't meant to be an effectsy MEP from the get go. Was never intended to be another Ayumix or Elysium. If those are the type of MEP's and editing that you like, then good on ya. But don't go bashing someone elses MEP just for the sole gratification of doing so.......why do you do it? Berate others? Is it to fulfill your little elitist complex that seems to be the transient way of thinking here on the org nowadays? To make you feel like a man/woman? To full-fill your ego?

Seriously......an AMV is meant to be enjoyed. No matter who it is made by.

Out.
Where the hell are you pulling Ayumix and Elysium and shit from? I didn't say LOL THIS NEEDS MORE EFFECTS, AYUMIX AND ELYSIUM WERE THE SHIT! No, they both sucked just as hard as this. If you take anything from my post, take this, using the same cliche anime choices and scenes we've all seen slapped together time after time after time a good amv does not make.

Then please enlighten me to what would be a better choice Arashinome. I'm eager to know.

Because I could just as easily throw a video together of some butt slappin and fuckin to the beat of Trans Siberia Orchestra and call it quits. Would that be original for ya? Cuz, Honestly, I'm at a loss here.

What scenes would you have us use or rather, the org use in their videos?

There is a reason that hagaran's track was good, it used a source we don't see every day, and the editing was pretty on point. Vivaldi's track had the best editing in this mep, however, same scenes we see in every video with these sources. Get my point?

That's why I try to pick a source that fits and isn't used everyday. Maybe I should have used Saiunkoku for track 10 instead. :|

People are going to use the sources they like. It's not like you can change that. People will edit with what they are going to edit with. If it looks good to them, then so what? They put time and effort into a video for all to see. If people don't like the sources or the song used, then those people have a right to shut it off or keep watching. No one is twisting your arm, mate.

.. kay what i dont seem to understand is how, considering most of the negative opinions are based on the mix itself being repetitive and such, why one would download a mep using music they dont like in the first place? I mean its not like im going to download every heavy metal mep out there just so i can trash it like an elitist fag for the lulz. I mean even the sources are being bashed at.. so really if you dont like the sources or the music i dont understand why one would even bother downloading it in the first place. It just seems to me some people here downloaded it cause they knew they could bash the feck out of it? Maybe im wrong but thats how it feels to me.

The thing is you're obviously free to like, or dislike the project obviously, but there are better ways to say you dislike something rather then "ITS SUCKS DIE IN A FIRE RAAAAAAAAAGE" because that only purposely creates drama and TC doesnt deserve his thread to get locked because of such douchebaggery mmk? Just my two cents.

As for the project itself, it was okay. I like the music and most of the sources and it was well edited for the most part, but i agree with most that it was pretty repetitive and most tracks just blended into each other in the end. So I can appreciate the effort you guys put into it and it looks like all of you worked hard on your tracks, but it probably isnt something I will watch again because of its repetitiveness.

4/5  good work guys.

[MOD 137: No more drama pls kthnx]

Thanks Chii. Appreciate your input. I agree, it can get a little repetitive. I see the mods are already removing and editing posts
