I think I like this video more than I actually like it because of how much I love this game. In any case, I did enjoy it for the most part.
The video quality wasn't all that distracting but I did notice it. The sync kind of came and went, certain parts were spot on while you seemed a little off on others. It was kind of hard to get into this video, which may partly be the falt of the music. People who don't know the game and don't understand the lyrics might not get a whole lot out of this, which is a shame.
Even so, I liked it, but not nearly as much as some of your older videos. 3.5/5
Hmm? I wonder when we'll start seeing more P3 vids though....

Right, the first I have to say (Ties into our sync conversation >.>) is, cut the crap with the 5 frame cross-dissolves. They work here when you're changing scenes or comparing, because they make sense at that point. But when you're not, they look stupid, and take away the video's edge. Honestly, in my book, bad quality and stupid 5 frame dissolves do the same damage.
Besides that though, this had cool flow, cooler sync, and made me want to play the game. More than I already wanted to, that is >.>
Don't get stuck in the opening genre though if you're making a GMV. You can still do anything (Like Copycat
)
Oh, and that logo at the beginning was pretty spiffy :O

thanks Shin ^^, glad you liked it and yeah the game is awesome, you should try it when you get the chanceDevil^Shin wrote:mmm i like it, i like the game pretty much and amv was fresh and nice - 4/5

lol well thats good to know really, I really preffer people to like the AMV more for what it is and not for what sources it usesCopycat_Revolver wrote:I think I like this video more than I actually like it because of how much I love this game. In any case, I did enjoy it for the most part.

yeah I agree with you on the synch, I just wanted to let it be more like an opening in certain parts (which mean less synch) and not a synch fest, didn't had enough footage to do that really and I wanted to do something a bit more coherent than just random clips lol. Lyrics don't fit 100% either so add that to the listCopycat_Revolver wrote:The video quality wasn't all that distracting but I did notice it. *points to the aclaration I made in the synch topic for the first part of this commentGreggus1 wrote:Right, the first I have to say (Ties into our sync conversation >.>) is, cut the crap with the 5 frame cross-dissolves. hahaha thanks Greg

hahaha my original intention for this game wasn't an opening, but thats how things turned out

EDIT: exception is .hack//G.U., that has the right amount of intensity (and a lot of FMVs) I have always searched to make a longer GMV and maybe more than one GMV with it

oh and I blame Niwa for the logo :O, all of the studio members should use it if they want >.>.
thanks KaxiKaxi wrote:I liked it. Well, i'm not a fan of it, true, but it was an okay video. Sync wise it was cool. I think the quality was okay, i don't know why the others bitch about it, and 20 mbs? - nice. Maybe you knew already that i hate japanese music, so i won't watch this much, but good work nevertheless.
