It isn't so much against the AMV as it is against the innumerable quantities of them. Too a small degree, it is also a prejudice against the anime itself - any DBZ-clone (intentionally similar or not) causes editors to focus almost exclusively on the action, i.e. violent fighting. Inevitably everyone starts recyclying the same scenes over and over - and just like the anime industry - reaches a point of saturation that becomes unbearable. Sure there are a few that are "well made", but just like in Hollywood, they can't do anything original beyond re-making another old movie.Sierra Lorna wrote: It always baffled me how many people are against Naruto AMVs. I know there are a lot, but I find that a lot of those videos are very well-made, and I liked lots of them long before I saw the anime. Why is everyone so against them?

I was just talking about some people in general, I wasn't referring to you or anyone specifically. I just noticed that, around the forums I see a lot of comments based around "oh, no, another Naruto video!!" or "stop making Naruto/DBZ videos!!"TeclmmlEd wrote:Im not against Naruto AMV's O_o....when did I say that.
I can kind of understand because, when there are so many videos to this anime, you do so a lot of the same scenes over and over. I've personally never been a fan of DBZ AMVs at all, mostly just because I think the animation is hideous and I've seen very few, if any, DBZ MVs that I actually liked, even though there are so many.
What you guys said makes sense. I just don't personally think that any creator should not make AMVs to an anime he/she really enjoys just because there are a lot to it already. Making AMVs is, for many, a form of anime fandom, so of course there will end up being a lot to a popular anime such as Naruto. There's not really much anyone can do about that, but a lot of people still complain about it.
But, just in case anyone's worried, I'm not planning on making any more Naruto videos myself. (Aside from maybe 2 scenes in my next various video).
