Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

This video reminded me of the thread in gen amv that takes amvs and just puts a new song to them. This AMV would be AWESOME for that!!

I didn't really like this amv but I DO love what your trying to do with it! It's very noble of you to think of others even if it's somewhat devolved into... well this :). Ignoring all the rest, I do like what you did here.
If you do not think so... you will DIE

godix compared it to Attack of the Otaku..
I'd say SugardanSen.

But well, it was alright. Some of the cuts were really nice: sync aside (which was okay), I did like how you managed to make transitions to different animes very smooth and seemless in places. Didn't always work out, and some color effects/overlays were almost ugly to see, but it was still nice. The motion blur effect I suggested you didn't really turned out as I would have hoped, but maybe better than just blending like it was.
Some AR fuckups, but I'd say quality is nice.
Overall I do notice that you're improving although I still prefer some other vids of yours. 3/5

Personally, I can't stand the music, theme, or how repetitve it was. I like how you used nothing but hard cuts. Your transitions didn't flow at all.( try following the cameras direction with your cuts ) Aspect ratio went crazy at times. As much as I hate these kinds of videos, you stand a good chance winning at the contest, since most people eat this stuff up.

that's for constructive criticism. As for ARs..umm..it was hard managing so much anime so i guess some might have gotten mixed up.

It's easier to deal with differing aspect ratios before you edit. When you're processing your source just make them all the same aspect ratio. (Crop and resize the ones that aren't, of course) Then it's already done and you don't have to worry about that anymore.

I just wanted to say something, Kenz.

I know it's been said before, but I think you'll better understand it from another disabled person like yourself.

Try not to use your handicapped as an excuse to make people who comment they don't like it feel sorry for you. I know it's hard and I know that we're the kind of people who have to work extra hard in order to get the same amount done as normal editors do, but that extra work is worth it, especially if someone likes it. Using your disability as an excuse makes other people and yourself look bad because they think you don't want to try harder by making it an excuse. I already know there will be many people who will dislike my vids...or even call them mediocore (My switchback amv), but the main point is, I tried my best, have no regrets and can't please everyone. You should be proud you're able to do something you normally thought you couldnt, even if you have to go the extra mile to do so.

The only people who know I'm deaf is my close AMV friends who I make beta test in case I miss something. :D

Btw, I'll check out your vids a little later, I'm very interested in your work! But right now, I need to go out to lunch with my family. Happy easter!
