Im going out on a limb here and saying I liked it. K T is hard to get a feel for sometimes and even if this did go a little long, it was very creative. Anyway, I'm going to bed now

Hubby and I watched this last night, and we *really* enjoyed it. The care you took in the timing is obvious, and the facial expressions/body english matched the sections of the song you chose perfectly.
It was really a lot of fun to watch...and I honestly think it stands alone as an amv just fine.
5/5. Great job, and I hope you do more "experiments" like this.

Yaaaay, tankooooo!
I'm happy that it's been worth a few folks' time after all. Thanks for taking the time to check it out and leave comments, all who have. Glad you noticed the body-language sync, CorpseGoddess. To me that was just as important as the lip-sync to make a convincing dance-type video.
I wanted to bring the song's energy to life without mulling over the lyrics or any type of story, unlike the vast majority of amv's. Just wanted to celebrate the simple attitude of a simple song through physical choreography. Not everyone enjoys stuff like that cuz it's the equivalent of a theatrical production, in our society where the majority prefer movies.
But, there are still those who appreciate the simplicity of dance, and those are who this video is for. It's not for everyone. But I'm glad when it finds its way to those who can enjoy it. ^_^
Koop-san, are there better examples of dance videos, where it is strictly dance with most or all moves joined? If so I'd love to see them so I can know how this falls short to you. I've seen plenty of "dance" videos, but none yet that are all about one single dance with contiguous/connected moves.
(And glad you checked out my stuff multiple times, Radical_Yue
I've come a long way since the crinkly fansub days, lol, though my next projects will display that better than this one

Weeee, thanksPerfect-Vegeta wrote:haha, great work
It's been done that much before? My apologies, I didn't know. But I doubt anyone's done it this particular way, with unrelated moves joined together with visual tricks. But it clearly warns what it is, so if you're not in the mood don't force yourself to watch it.Gidrasan wrote:Haruki dance? again? O.o

I mean it falls short in terms of entertainment. In pure terms of it being a 'dance' video - then this is one of the higher ups for sure (I don't really recall seeing much like this in the genre), but it wasn't very entertaining to watch and I wasn't very fond of the song. This is a case for me that the lack of footage really hurt the video (not enough dynamic footage, choreography not truly made for the audio, etc.) I'm no dance authority, but from what I've seen of pure choreography videos/dance crews, this isn't quite up to par, but its definitely a good try. Like I said, this felt like an experiment more than anything. Don't get me wrong though, it was a very well done video, but just not entertaining as I feel a dance video should be.ZaCloud wrote: Koop-san, are there better examples of dance videos, where it is strictly dance with most or all moves joined? Duuuuude, I told you not to waaaaatch if you knew thaaaaat!Gidrasan wrote: Haruki sing... Mikuru sing.... everbody dance.... and what's new of this concept? I thougth it realy boring....
I guess a big part of it depends on if ya like the song or not, cuz it seems folks who do like the song tend to like the vid more. Cuz it's just a physical manifestation of the energy of the song within limits of the source. So of course it'd be a chore for someone who's not into it. It's an acquired taste; even I don't know why I like the song. I don't blame anyone for not.Koopiskeva wrote:

As for all the many 'it not having enough visual stuff going on'... oh well. Like theater vs movies. Some have the attention span for the former, some don't. Some just can't get by without something shiny to hold their attention-span. *jangles a set of keys* Oooooh, prettyyyyyy.
