Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

There's documentation in your avisynth folder [on your computer] for filter usage,
and there's also these:
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... tqual.html
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... tqual.html
http://avisynth.org/mediawiki/Main_Page

I should note that the order of your filters really makes a difference;
do deblocking/deinterlacing first, otherwise it's not really possible to deblock something that has already been smoothed/sharpened-- and you shouldn't need to do extensive deblocking if you used lossless compression throughout anyway.

follow something like this, wherever needed for your footage
Deinterlace>deblock>temporal/spacial denoise>derainbow>color/level correction>resize>smoother>sharpener

Some scenes will need more filtering than others... and you will notice that other scenes [such as CGI, and anything with alot of detail] may not need any filtering whatsoever

Also the aspect ratio was wrong; if using zarxgui, go Advanced, and set it to 4:3 or 16:9, or resize it with avisynth beforehand.

As far as the amv goes, you chose some good scenes with a lot of motion, and I always appreciate that... I may need to check out Macross Frontier. But when it comes down to it, this style of amv should be more about the eye candy than anything else considering the song pace, and animation used [imo]... and you didn't achieve much there... which is why any feedback you get will mostly be technical gripes. Keep at it. I haven't see your other work, but there might be some potential here... maybe if you didn't use j-pop :O

If you manage to sort out the filter problems, you should request deletion and upload it again. I think that's allowed as long as you don't change the actual editing. It's a good video and deserves to be presented nicely.

EDIT: I swear by FluxSmoothST().

Thank you. I'll keep this in mind. I'll re-filter it and try to keep it in mind. I still got the original file so it shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for all your help guys. If there is anything else you would like to add, or any suggestions you might have for me, it would be well appreciative...if you would like to add to your previous statemens or what not. Do you recommend I put it into Mp4 or no? and how do I maintain lossless compression. I am still having trouble with that as well. If you could help with that, I could produce better quality in the next version.
