Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:

Anyways, another thing I thought was very creative was your technique of having a pulsating background and foreground. I've never really seen layers done that way before because it wasn't "in your face." I had to watch it a second time to finally realize it. :up:

Gorgeous; there aren't nearly enough Mushishi videos out there (spread the love!) and you did a great job here. Obviously this video won't meet everyone's tastes, but hey, I am of the opinion that making videos for yourself rather than to please others is often more satisfying in the end. As it is, with this piece of art I think you may have convinced me to finally get off my butt and get my own Mushishi video back out of the 'On Hold' pile and finish it. Thanks for the beautiful contribution!

Really good.

I have to agree with Servo though -- there's nothing wrong with a few hard cuts, even in a video like this. The imagery is generally so uniform in style that a hard cut would not be too shocking. Also, since your editing is very rhythmic, hard cuts could be used to switch things ups or distinguish a moment in a sequence. I could imagine a hard cut at :17, :24, :33, :40 as a way of punctuating that progression.

That said, the color and organization of the video was very nice. I guess the video might have not had enough conclusion or change for some, but I enjoyed it. It's very tough to make an idea work which doesn't have a whole lot of precedent paving the way. But I think you pull it off.

You did a great job with this video, and personally, I haven't seen anything quite like it. :D The scene selection fit very well with the calming mood of the video. Excellent work! :up:

This had a great flow, but unfortunately it isn't the type of video that you can watch too often. Still, it didn't surprise me to see something new and original from you. As always, good job and keep it up :up:
