Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Really cute! I really enjoyed this. Though I do tend to agree with Bauzi. But I'm nicer than him, so I'll give you a 3.5/5

uh oh, I might have used the 256 ..... o.o (I wasn't really paying too much attention to my audio compression...)
According to the info for the local download that comes up on the video's page, it's only 224, which is why I was wondering.
i usually use 192 O.o

Hm, ok the editing was good. but i dont like the scenes in the scenes there were to often and to much. I think also the persons were to big for the pictures... And one other thing, i thought that the song was to long for me.
Overall 3/5

cookie cutter fetish O:

cookie cutters ftw

nice AMV, it got a little repetitive near the end but I liked the work you did with it, though yeah after the cookie cutter number 50th it started to get a little old XD. Other than that nice, happy AMV, nice synch too ;)

4/5

yup, I agree all the comments about the fact that song was really repetitive, but I didn't want to try cutting it... that could have been even worse with my skills ;)

Beat sync: Good.

Effects: Way too many PIPs. What is the point of putting multiple mostly unrelated images in the same frame? The human eye can only look at so many things simultaneously; it's better to have quick cuts from one scene to the next than lots of little squares competing for attention. If you want to use multiple images in one frame, then make them cooperate to form a cohesive, "whole" image.

Mood: This IS a mood-driven song. There is no story in the lyrics. You gotta figure out how to convey a celebratory mood beyond "lots of people smiling and dancing and frolicking in the meadow."

Other: There were some funny moments. Syncing the banana boat to the cheer made me laugh.

Quality: If you can't make rotoscoping look good, don't bother. Choppy edges are just distracting. Same goes with the PIPs...you could at least add borders to the squares or anti-aliased the edges. In general, it looked like you were using fansubs or just didn't bother to pre-process your DVD footage.
