Most modern fighters have a +9/-3G limit (though some have soft limiters), which is commonly achieved but rarely broken.

Thrust-vectoring is mainly an improvement for high-alpha performance, especially at low speed. It allows planes like the F-22 or the Su-37 to temporarily maintain controlled flight at huge AoA. Aircraft without thrust vectoring either have an alpha limiter to prevent them from ever reaching these angles, or, if they don't - risk departure from controlled flight when they attempt to execute similar manuevers.

Nah, just over-active memory, but that memory wasn't even good for remembering the single Pitch Override switch which RedFusionX had in mind (thanks for clearing that up for me)

Otherwise, it's mostly because I spent A LOT more time doing this in the last year than making AMV's.

I guess that explains why I'm so enthusiastic about any video involving airplanes, and think this video needs more love :P
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I used to be a big fighter jet fan back in the day. The novelty has since died off for me, but I used to play Falcon (I think 2 or 3... one of the older ones before the new graphics came out) on LAN with one of my friends, mostly fighting against migs. Those were the times.

Is this game like that?

A falcon 3 player? *bows*
That game is a legend in its' own right.

This one should be quite a bit simpler as compared to something like F3.

I'm a 'hardcore' Falcon 4 player myself (it's probably the last in the series, unfortunately. On the other hand, at this point it may well be the most accurate simulator possible on the PC as far as flight & weapon systems modeling).
I've been playing it for 5 years now, and it only gets better (thank you, mod cummunity). I probably have at least 1,000 'flight hours' in that one alone :P

The 'hardcore' sim community is slowly dying thanks to not being profitable and mainstream enough - which is why people like me now actually praise simpler, accessible titles (like this one) instead of sneering at them. They might well prove to be a 'gateway drug' for beginners and get them interested in the more complex stuff, which otherwise might just slowly die over the next several years :|

No not really... When it comes to flgiht dynamics and realism, yes, to an extent, but ammunition is a differnt story. most modern fighters can't really carry more then 5-6 missles of any kinda (depends on airframe and missle, but you get the point). the games usually give you about 50-100 missles depending on the plane your flying (and most of the time, you need as much as you can get). Also you can choose from several "special" wepons which range from short range air to air missles, to long range air to air missles and also a large variaty of air to ground also. usually each mission is destroy all the mission objectives and kill as many other things as you can before the mission ends (killing all objectives, time runs out, escort is over, ect)

if your going for complete realism, this really isn't the right game. BUT!! i'm a huge fan of flight sims and i always like it to be as real as can be, and i still love this series to death. I think the thing i like most is the graphics, large variaty of aircraft, the missions and dogfights. If anyone has played AC4, you'll know about the one mission which was just one big ass dogfight with probably more then 100 aircraft in the air.
