I really enjoyed this video. The textures in the 3d world are fine, imo. If anything they add more contrast between the robot's world and the world/experiences it wishes it was a part of.

 Great job, liked the theme and "Bob" came out really well.

Yeah. Anyways, if you had added more texture I probably wouldn't have liked it as much

I'll always hold up "Human" as one of your best videos, as well as one of the most artistic and emotional videos the org has ever seen in the drama genre.

However, this addition to it seemed.... Off..

I think the effects and Bob were well done, and that the atmosphere was in the right place, but Falcone's complaint about all the pictures together was kind of my same complaint. I know that "Human" was the main focus of the scenery, but new footage in those TV boxes would have added nicely, with "Human"'s footage on the main screen and the central focus, and this would have been more effective. Kisanzi did a similar effect in Lovestruck Radience towards the end like I described, and it turned out well.

Overall, it was a great video and I'll love it for years, but it could have had so much more potential.

Everybody, thanks for watching!

Mmm... yeah, I would have loved to have have created the first video this way from the start but as I mentioned, at the time I had a deadline to get to :P

Should say something about the lack of textures on some of the 3-D models, but eh... i liked the vid too much so no big deal. I liked the reflections on the floor, why? I dunno, just like seeing stuff like that.

Hot sizzle
I loved the floor too! It was actually a fluke that it ended that way. I was experimenting with a reflection on a supposedly glass wall so that was originally standing up. It was however in the dark city scene and it wasn't until I animated the end and turned up the lighting did I realise it was fancier than I thought.

<Pas> that was nice
<Pas> there were a few things that bugged me though
<Pas> but it was some top-notch effort into a concept
To expand on this, I really enjoyed the extra effort into executing your concept. Really would love to see more stuff like it.

As I mentioned, there were a few things that bothered me, some of which would be simple to fix, others perhaps not so. One of the largest concerns for me was the projected screens. I felt like some more touch-ups could have made them much more integrated than simply appearing to be slapped into the scene. Even a thin frame around each would have helped greatly. Perhaps some light-flickering too would have been effective.

Other than that and some small nitpicks I really enjoyed this, well-executed and planned out. Very nicely done
Agreed, in retrospect borders around the screens would have worked a treat. Trouble was, it wasn't really until after the video was mostly built did this dawn on me (or more precisely, pointed out by Koop). Lazy gene kicked in after that

Yeay, thanks for watching.

Awesome! I hoped people liked it at the show.

Maybe just not my type of video.
Maybe... or maybe you're right... who knows about such things ;)

Also, props for using Naruto, i loved it.
Thank you. That scene in Shippuden really struck me at the time, and really, the last third of the video was a collection of scenes from anime that really had a lot of impact for me emotionally.

Umm... yeah... let's stick with that explanation (instead of being me lazy) >.> Anyway, glad you liked it.

I think it's one of those things that may or may not work until it's pretty much near the end of completing the video and you have a view of all things fitting together. Unfortunately with 3D animation, having to go back and re-render (particularly if you have a con deadline to get to) does take a fair bit of time to do. I'm not 100% convinced that different images in each screen would have been better, but perhaps in this case, we will never know :P

Thanks for the feedback. Certainly there's a lot that I learned making this video however as I said, there's only so much you can experiment with before patience grows thin.

Impressive. It's really good to see people doing original 3d work! I also thought the concept and execution were top notch, though I do feel that there could have been maybe a little more polish on some of the 3d, or maybe some other way of portraying the video rectangles. The style was very good though, and the actual animation was really good! A lot more fluid than I'm used to seeing in amv's or shorts. Great choice of song for the concept as well. Keep it up!!!

This is a really cool video! The 3D animation was nicely done, and I really enjoyed the concept of the video. I hope you'll continue to produce more videos such as this one. Keep up the great work!

Yeah, I know what you are saying about the polishing up. It was definitely something I wanted to do but I guess that will be for next time. Anyway, thanks for the compliments. Coming from you who is quite in the know regarding 3D stuff, I really think is awesome.

Definitely! Despite the pains making animation from scratch, the results I feel are definitely worth it! I have several other ideas cooking up in this department.
