First of all, I want to thank you. Thank you for introducing me to this AWESOME song. :amv: Second best shroom song ever.

Now, to the video. It is my personal favorite from this year's contest, that should speak for it enough. I dig you original editing style, it gets very boring to see some editors continue to use the same synch patterns in their videos. This was truly fresh. Plus, the whole idea with "high places" was cool. Scene selection was nice and the sound of the pouring rain was a nice touch. The video lost me at the start of the fight, but it was a short scene, so it is bearable. I honestly think the fight scene took more from the video than it gave to it. Overall very solid video, definitely a keeper. Keep up the good work!

One of my personal top-5 from Akross this year. Wish I could create something like this sometime. Very best!

Kara no Kyokai needs more love. Maybe it will get it after all the movies are out .....

Anyhow, you did a great job like I wrote you already. Enjoyed the editing, including fighting scenes. You played with the mood nicely. Good you didnt bury this AMV in effects. KnK has some great looking scenes so it would be a waste. Hope, I will get to see your next vid. soon (maybe another one from Kara no Kyokai ? xD).

Excellent^^ it was hard to decide how to edit this song,
but it looks like something worked.

Thank you very much :) I'll try to make something for AKROSS 2009 if I have time next year XD

Yeah, I was definitely going for an atmospheric combo here. Glad you liked it^^

Yeah, I've been experimenting with the "overall" impression of videos for a very long time now.
Most of my amvs are structured so that the complete video is what matters ;)

I guess I did something right :awesome:

shroom! shroom! shroom! You are very welcome^^
I've wanted to do this song for a while now. Just so you know, there are numerous audio edits throughout the video. The full song is 5:35, and it's actually pretty ... hmm... funky [no pun intended]. I'm really glad you noticed a bunch of stuff I was trying to do, so this comment really made my day. Thanks for the feedback ;)

Wow, thank you! It's good to hear it made your top-5. :D There were some good videos in the contest.

I'm glad you checked it out. You're right, there are some awesome scenes in KnK, so I kept effects to a minimum. And I wanted to see how an almost effect-less video would fare at AKROSS XD

For my next vid, I'll probably make something completely different since I like switching my style. probably something metalish. I don't have anything planned for release until summer, so I can't guarantee anything soon... but I do like to make random spur-of-the-moment videos like my last two MEP tracks. It is likely my next video will be a surprise... even for me :P

I noticed that, and I must add the audio cuts were very well made. The song indeed sounds funky in the middle. How can I not like it? :) Thanks for the video again!
