I wasn't a huge fan. :|

Then again, I'm not a Tool fan, and I didn't like nearly 3/4 of that anime selection. The editing was good though. :O

Wow, totally missed this!

Will update soon.
______________

I liked it I suppose. Thought the balance in your scene choises was very off. I would really have liked to see this with Akira only. The Akira parts were also what you seemed to get 'stuck' on when you edited. What I mean with that is that the Akira segments was longer then the other animes segments were.

All in all I enjoyed the way you edited it, I really like the sync (as usual) and you did set the mood decently well. If I'd rate this on a scale of 1-5, you'd get a 3.7 - 4/5.

Looking forward to your future works.
Keep it up.

Wow Dude, that was FUCKING ridiculous.

Let me try to explain why this video sucks so much:

You should have rather scrapped this Video than cuting the song, that was a freaking horrible move that just screams "I AM A FUCKING LAZY CUNT!!!!111one!!1!".

Now I was hoping at least the video would be decent, but no, I got dissapointed and almost cried at how you absolutely murderd the potential that this song keeps.

While here and there I thought you were about to show what the songs theme is actually about but then it turned back to a random bunch of clips with no connection, neither to the song nor to each other.

The actual editing (trying to ignore that you failed to display the song's emotion) was quite bad as well. The Pace of the song was missed, most of the scenes were left unedited and slapped together, I actually really had to search for any good moments and barely found any.

This Video even fails as a random action video.

I am deeply depressed at how a editor I had faith in released such a horrofying piece of work.

1/10

Nice man, I really enjoyed that 5/5-10/10. I liked the mood and sync. Might leave an OP later.

Lol Kev stfu.

Anyways I liked this. Not as much as The Search For Others Though. Perhaps a longer description would be nice sense the video felt a little confusing. But I liked the editing.

after reading a picture-perfect rating from arashinome and an extremely horrible rating from kev, I'll check this out.

Edit: I enjoyed it (I think that's the feel you were going for when you edited this as I don't see any other reason), so yeah, good job. lol I'm guessing Kev really wanted more from this song

Thank you for all the replies! I'm glad the ones who enjoyed it did.

I have to say, why are Tool fans so proud and pretentious? Taking an interest in the technicalities involved can be healthy and help you enjoy the music on a greater level. However, they tend to look for the "true inner meaning" in songs as to imply they're provocative and trend-setting people. Well, you're not! You CAN just take the lyrics at face value, there is no need to discover the secret as to how the lyrics have been encrypted so carefully to be interpreted in five possible ways in order to achieve true enlightenment. Maynard will not one day knock on your door and crown you with the title of "Most Informed", so drop the act.

Tool always has and will be my favorite band regardless of how much I despise the fans. If you're a Tool fan and are reading this I have heard that listening to Lateralus using the Fibonacci numbering of tracks unlocks a portal to a parallel world where the unfathomable lyrics of Tool can genuinely be understood. I wish you the best of luck, just don't tell me about it.

Dude, I'm not even a Tool fan anymore.

But what you did was cutting a 7min song down to 3mins, leaving out all the musically good and interesting parts just so you could produce yet another mindless action video. Even though the song was complex enough to produce something actually worthwhile you decided on making a Tool song into a Linkin Park song. Well in that case why didn't you edit it to that kinda band to begin with then, if that's the sound you wanted?

I definitely agree with you to an extent. Danny Carey's drumming is the highlight for me in the second part of the song so I know it only gets better. I did apologize for cutting the song in the video description, I didn't intend on doing so when I started the project. I released the video assuming people were still autonomous beings who could choose not to watch it after reading the video description. My mistake.
