As you can see from my reaction on msn. I was expecting ALLOT more.. It didn't strike as something special just another random video trying to mix all the diff shorts. Seriously don't bother with video's like this anymore people.. It's been done good twice[Paranoid Android, Don't Break], so coming in third is just as good as not pwning with a good video.

Like I said random with nothing visualy too keep it in check or seperate it from the masses. Sync and visual quality and such are in order but again nothing amazing. 6.7/10

And yes Eidolon is a Animatrix video too =)

To be honest, I hated it.

The way you synched was just really uncreative. Followed a really repetive pattern which got annoying after 2 seconds with no real attention payed to making scenes fit the music. The only thing that helped here was the freaky art style of Animatrix, but that isn't your doing. That thought away, the editing is like a badly random action video where the editor tried to "sync everything".

Since there was nothing else to it beside action, overall

Sorry if that sounds harsh. Try to sync internally, not using effects or flashes. Pay attention to scenes fitting each other and the music. If you do that properly, the sync will do itself. Better luck next time!

I guess this is the downside of reading the comments on threads to gauge a video's awesomeness... Throughout all that video, JCDs words just kept echoing along in the back of my mind, and so I must agree. This video did nothing for me. There really felt no point, no progression of any sort and ultimately nothing to be enjoyed. Sorry.

I agree with jcd here, very uncreative and consistent way of flashing to the beats, I actually liked it much more when you left those out in the second part (which still wasn't very intense).

I saw a new masterGT video on the announcement thread and thought AWESOME! But then I immediately saw the HYPERPOWER text, predicting a short trailer-like video, and thought NOOOOO! But it turned out just ok.

I really like the technical form and the sync patterns of this video. Unique in their own way with a very up-beat sync, not to forget about internal sync and effects that actually served their purpose. The overlays worked fine mostly but sometimes they covered up what was happening in the video a little too much. That's like the only noticable flaw in your sync I could tell.

Anyhow, your sync is not the problem. The problem is with the lack of proper content. Sort of like some NIN songs. Sometimes they're just too concerned with sound textures the actual song comes second. No matter how awesome the technical form is, there's nothing much to delve into. So, that's why this wasn't really my type of a video.

However, I think that's mostly because it was so damn short and too.. exponential? -in its progression. The technical form itself would have worked nicely if the song was different. Now it just looks like an explosion O.o It's not really a bad thing if you look at it as such, but I tend to like movies better than trailers, no matter how awesome the trailer is I just wish you would have used a different song or continued it with something else from Year Zero. Then it'd propably be in my top10 fave amvs right now.

I'm intrigued by your video description though. Your concept is interesting and deffinitely something worth to delve into. I'm not really getting the video right now and I'm pretty sure it's going to be difficult to access -_- But I'm deffinitely going to keep it and see if it'll grow on me, and see it's worth the effort. Propably so.

Anyway, I don't really have anything against these type of videos. I just personally don't like them so much and it's just difficult for me to get anything out of them. I'd rather have a "full-lenght" version of this.

I didn't like it. There was just nothing to it, a completely random video which does nothing but synch the beats (kind of like Decoy's syncher thing with the Animatrix footage slapped over it), 0 substance or sense of direction it wouldn't have made a difference if half of the video was cut out. 2.5/5 =|

I kinda lost interest and got bored with it halfway through tbh. But that's because I hate AMV's with these boring instrumental songs. The intro with the screen edits was pretty hawt. Editing was pretty nice. But I just couldn't get into it rly :/ 3/5
