To sum it up, it could have been better but it could have been worse. Overall decent, and I dug it a little.

WOW, this is one of the more decent Linkin Park video's I've seen. The lip synch parts I didn't exactly like, but you hit a lot of beats real well, and had a diversity of scenes. However you missed one that broke the record at 01:05... Also some subtitle removal shots using premiere made it look all pixelly. I recommend not doing these methods in Premiere since it cannot resize well at all.
To sum it up, it could have been better but it could have been worse. Overall decent, and I dug it a little.

Thx for the Crit. ^^
Well the pixelly stuff is'nt because of the removal of the subs ... its my encodingskills that sux -_-; and i didnt use Premiere. Ulead Media Studio Pro is my game. Used it for like 2-3 years now or something... And the sub removal isnt by rotoscoping. If you see the size on the movie its not 640 x 480 its less .. cant remember .... also i noticed one glitch with that ^^; where some of the sub is actually showing
btw it wasnt supose to hit the beat at 01.05 im just to lazy to cut so i just draged the whole clip in there
used about 7 hours on this thing ...lol... i hate editing with Xvid X_X

I didn't say that you rotoscoped the subs... I knew you just took off the edge of the video. You brought them into virtualdub, right? Then did a quick crop, from what I think. You'll get that annoying yellow line on the left edge from reencoding XviD material in virtualdub (heads up).
And sorry I didn't know you used Ulead. If you want to use XviD well, I'd advise reading how to in Absolute Destiny and ErMac's guide (can be found on the Main Page from the blue button on the left).
But if you want to know what I do...
>_>
If I'm going for quality over filesize I'd go to Configurations on XviD, and from the drop down menu select "1-pass - quantizer" and enter in "2" as the number. Of course there is also another recommended method more acclaimed by people known as "2-pass." You can read how to do that in the guides...

That yellow line... no clue where it came from... i didnt use virtualdub
first time i tried it i didnt like the interface so i didnt bother using it...lol... >>what an idiot>>
When i encode i go for quality as long as the file doesnt pass 40 mb...
cause if it does i think no one would actually bother to download it -_-;

VirtualDub's the best for touching up your video outside of your editing program for before, during, and after production. Since it also uses Avisynth it has an arsenal of filters at your disposal. If you haven't already, download this package, it contains all the programs you'll ever need to make AMV's (legal freeware programs; not necessarily main editors but tools to help you encode things).Yoakim wrote:That yellow line... no clue where it came from... i didnt use virtualdubfirst time i tried it i didnt like the interface so i didnt bother using it...lol... >>what an idiot>>

Oh yeah, and the yellow line can appear if you reencode XviD from a few programs... maybe all, but I've only seen it from VirtualDub, After Effects, and (now) Ulead. I recommend using a crop filter to eliminate about 4 pixels from the left side and resize to 640 x 480 (or whatever you have).
