Perhaps there are other hobbies you could take up that would be better suited to your capabilities then AMV creation. Like stamp collecting or bird viewing or something....

If you are responding to a video announcement, please try to make constructive comments. If you think the video is bad, tell the creator what is wrong with it and how it could be made better. If you didn't bother watching the video, then perhaps you should keep your comments to yourself.

People become better through practice and experience, but peer support and advice can accelerate that improvement. For all you jaded and cynical creators out there, don't forget that at one time or another you were new to editing also.

hey, he posted this in here, and i figured it was good enough, i dont like to PM people, if they post a bad video and ask people to watch it, then i will subject them to my opinion, even if its the crappiest opinion i have.. atleast i didnt op it and drag his scores down.. noob or not, thats my op..

Im a firm believe in "if you cant say something nice, dont say anything at all" which is why i dont post very often in here (although half the vids i dont even have time to download)...but I agree with all your comments on this one (except the stamp comment), just a poor newb who has a lot to learn.

I don't give a shit if there are 10 million AMVs done to linkin park and dragonball. All that means is that it's a retardedly popular thing for people to make. But reguardless of that, I wouldn't listen to ANYONE telling me that I *shouldn't* make a video done to a song that I like and an anime that I like. It's not your fault that everyone and their mother feels it nessesary to make videos using that combination is it?

i didn't start making AMV's to be cool. I don't know about all you guys but where i live watching anime is concidered retarded. Not to mention making AMVs of it. so it's all about the music and the anime for me!! it's true i admit!!! i fell for the combination and i can't stop. all i do on my pc is watch AMVs while i surf the net and listening to songs.
but here's the "but"....
making AMVs is entertaining for me :but: it's also made to entertain others.
but as much as i wouldnt stop making dbz AMVs and may make some naruto AMVs(which is almost as overdone as dbz) and maybe i'll make an AMV for some other anime i'll like in the future.
AMVs are made to entertain people that watch anime.
and as an amv maker i must follow that ordeal.

if i want people to enjoy my amvs i need to know their standarts of good amvs.

well have fun making your videos, i was telling you what you need to fix! *and yes i see you didnt quote me* Making amvs isnt just to entertain people.. hell half of the amvs i have made are unseen by all but 3 people.. and im fine with that.. i made them to entertain myself, because making amvs was my hobby, i dont do this for money, respect, or anything else, i do it for myself, the joy of knowing that i made a video that I can call my own.. and when i started watching anime years ago.. people picked on me for it too.. but fuck em.. im not telling them to watch it... if your going to make an amv to entertain others, i would suggest making it with anime and music that others like.. most of us here dont like DBZ or LP.. so we dont want to see anymore vids.. but if you made a good video using anime we like and music we like, then you may entertain us.. i have found that entertaining others feels better then just making a vid for myself.. *thats one reason i have made over 25 vids since AWA*

so yah, think about that.. and be warned that we flame people who make DBZ vids... because they dont entertain us anymore..
