I'm downloading it now. Looks good, and your definition of experimental gives me a positive feeling.
If nothing else, harsh noises get your attention.

Thanks all. If ya got any feedback; I'm all open for it, since I'm still looking for suggestions on how to get my editing to be more functional.

Heh. This isn't one of those "It really good when it was over!" things, it it?

Naw, nevermind, I think know what you mean.

Heh, thanks;

I always seek to stretch the length... I know it gets  's out of people, but - can I help it if most of my favorite music is in tracks well over 6 minutes?

BTW, if anyone's interested in op trade, I have a rather equitable exchange going in the Op Exchange forum. /pimps

I just watched it and thought it was good. I saw soem clips I knew weren't in End of Eva, but that's cause I haven't seen Death and Rebirth, but I've heard that it's just a recap of the series and the first part of EoE...

Otherwise, good video.

Yea, I'd say the source footage is about 50/50 or maybe 60/40 between EoE and Death.
Just so you know, for anyone considering working with EoE and having footage from the series scenes, look into Death foremost as the series have a different aspect ratio/format from the movies, making it a bit more awkward to integrate with EoE.
Plus, ripping Death takes a lot less time than the whole series, and there's still enough footage to get by

Really liked it!

I didn't get bored, though I think I have to be alone to appreciate that kind of video, because it's the kind of experimental video many people may not like (I know what I'm talking about...). Knowing that people who watch it with me may look at their watch waiting for the end would prevent me from appreciating.
Same thing for author movies. I don't watch them with anybody unless I'm sure they can appreciate.

Just a few remarks on a technical point of view:
- I think your editing is good.
- There is an interlacing problem which is visible on edges of scrolling things, and with the squares effect (btw I didn't dislike those squares).
- Compression is much visible on fade ins / fade outs and more generally when the picture is dark. I think you could have found better codec parameters.

Good job anyway! :D

I really love this video. Seriously good stuff here. Your editing has made a gigantic leap from your last videos, it's insane. This is definitely among my top five favorite videos.

Gee, thanks both of you!

Wow, exactly the same thing I've experienced with a few folks lately :? It's especially annoying when you show them videos, and they start talking about stuff that doesn't directly relate to the vid... such as general anime talk. Gets quite sad, especially if you're the only one in the room trying to honestly watch the vid and appreciate it.

And yea, I noticed those quality concerns with the slight grainy-ness you were talking about. I think that's because the compression job was rather hasty  I can't remember exactly, but it was either a quick 1-pass XviD encode or even a re-encode from a higher-bitrate XviD (don't try this at home kids!). It look just fine for me for a few test runs, and it's still alright though....

The interlacing thing comes from moving things in Premiere which I still haven't figured out how to work completely. I'll take tips on how to smooth it out any day!

And, thanks Flint... I figured you'd like it in the right circumstances
