I downloaded this a week ago and was really hesitant to watch it because I really love this song and I really love Soul Eater and I was expecting a certain kind of AMV that, even when done well, sometimes annoys me for reasons I won't get into here.
This was right down that alley
but I thought it was really great and maybe I'm just biased based on the sources but beyond that I just think that you brought out the best in both. There was such a great sense of flow in this and it captured the spirit of the series really well and that's always a sticking point for me as a viewer. I also liked that it felt really character-focused, not in a complex or even thoughtful way, but just in the sense that they are the reason I like this series and you
weren't just mindlessly sticking them in whereever they happened to fit.
I usually have some kind of terrible gut reaction to masked transitions -- maybe only when it comes to multi-source AMVs? -- but here they felt really natural and particularly suited to the unique visual style of the series.
Overall, great work!

I've listened to this song more than almost any other in the past year so every little change was really noticeable to me, but not necessarily because it was done poorly.
The one you're referring to doesn't bother me as much as how the last 10 seconds or so of the song were cut off, simply because it's such a perfect conclusion/climax to the song and I hate to
see hear it get cut. I'm sure Shin had reasons, whatever they wee, and everything that's here serves a purpose and fits together so well. Asking for
more seems to miss the point (speaking for myself here, not directing this at Pauratagashi22).
