Really hate this band...but I do usually like your videos so I'm going to bite the bullet and watch this anyway.

and I just gotta say right now...
"I only say it seemed a bit slow because the song itself is slower than most SotS AMVs I've seen: the editing, as far as I'm concerned, was good for the song."
HERP DEERRRRPPP

I'd say you weren't being insulted, but if you'd like, I can fill that void for you. That is by far one of the stupidest things I have ever heard. Seriously, you've only watched fast paced videos with this source, so you see a well paced video that apparently fits the song, and call it slow anyway? This is editing, you do what the fucking song tells you to do.

Shit was tight, dude. Had a very dramatic epic feel throughout the video, the build up in the intro was extremely nice. I would've liked to see a tiny bit more kick toward the last 30 seconds or so to kind of give it a more epic conclusion, though. You had an element that a lot of amvs are missing these days, which is build up. I actually felt the video picking up more and more throughout the video, but it eventually hit one point where it flatlined, which sadly was at the end. That's about my only complaint, pretty solid video bro.

Hey I didn't say I didn't like this AMV, come on now. D:
And its really just by chance that I've seen nothing but fast-paced SotS AMVs: its a popular choice for the movie, is all.

All I meant to say was that in comparison to other SotS AMVs I've seen, this seemed slower. That's it! Does it make it bad? Well obviously not, but everyone has their own opinions.

I liked this AMV: I'm not insulting anyone. I just offered my opinion because with the same action scenes used in this and other SotS AMVs to a slightly slower song, it just threw me off a bit.
I'm sorry if I came off as hating the AMV due to its pace, I didn't mean it at all like that (if thats what you got from it.)

mhm indeed it feels kinda slow even tho it kinda fits but i think i would have enjoyed it more if you changed your sync over time a bit -it's kinda loopy : p it's not bad itself but it's quite err..predictable i dunno
Still better than that MMO.

Finally got around to watching this. I expect nothing less than the very best from you Eric... so you always have a lot to live up to. But I liked this video. I felt like maybe 1 or 2 clips were slowed down but I think that was just the impression I got and not actually anything you did. Everything else was fantastic. Great video, flow and vibe to the video. I especially like the first 50 seconds and the setup you gave it. One repeat viewings any complaints fade away.

Thanks!

I loved your videos back when I first started watching amvs. Loved your spiderman one too. I should love this one too. |:>

...watches

No didn't love it. I watched it a few times before posting, maybe I should watch it again, but the visuals to me didn't always match together well with the music. I usually love this editing style focusing on character movements to match elements of the audio, matching the emotion/style of the music, which is what you are really good at, but I wouldn't say it is the case this time around. Maybe this video was an experiment because the style didn't remind me too much of other videos of yours, but regardless the style was pretty interesting. It mostly didn't match together well for me. . I wish the video footage matched the music more in a bit more emotional way.

Scenes didn't always match what's going on in the music. For the action presented, how the characters moved, angels on characters, camera movement, character expressions, the coloration of backgrounds and characters and the changes in lighting contrast didn't have enough focus that would of otherwise added a lot to the overall mood. Some important elements were ignored while others favored but some elements I wish you had more of.

Thought the whole ending worked very well with the audio, but the rest kinda felt loose. This didn't seem like your typical editing style and it was original and interesting to see.

I watched it a few times because I wasn't enjoying it that much at first so thought I may have missed something. If I'm being blind to it's true quality feel free to chew me out.
