I'm gonna have to be honest here. I'm huge fan of your work Peter, and you're an awesome guy, but I feel this is one of your weaker videos in terms of concept.
I just felt a lot of the super imposing company logo x to the lyrics in the song got old pretty fast. I honestly did think a few of the other videos in the comedy category at AX were funnier.
Regardless, congrats on the wins at AX and Otakon. The video wasn't my cup of tea, I'm afraid.

I kinda agree with castor. Editing wise, there was nothing spectacular. The entire appeal of the video is strictly the song. But I really like the song, so I liked it anyway.

I was pretty proud of that. It took a bit of wrangling to make some of the eye-zooms work smoothly, and I never figured out how to get the Geass colors quite right over the other footage, but it's good to know the idea got across. ^_^Taite wrote:2:05 was my favorite part, however. Overall, you did a great job with adding in some of the KFC things and adding in lipsync and such, but that particular scene was pure perfection.
THANK YOU. I was wondering if anyone was going to recognize where that music came from.s0matic wrote:HOLOGRAM SUMMER AGAIN. Actress Again versus screen studio bumper music, I approve.![]()

Thanks for the input -- I think we already talked about this on LJ, but I'd like to address it here as well, because it reminds me of some things I hadn't mentioned in my original post.Castor Troy wrote:I'm gonna have to be honest here. First off, most of the Pizza Hut logos were actually in the original footage (which is where I got the idea in the first place). Secondly, I agree the logos do get old, and that's exactly why I tried to transition at around the second chorus to seeing more of characters doing the dance moves instead. (... and it ended up being harder than I thought to find anyone doing those moves.)
I'll be the first to say that this isn't a very "intelligent" AMV; those hoping for a Doki Doki-esque comedy should look elsewhere. You should have seen Cyanna's face every time "D HANDY" came up: she thinks it's the stupidest thing ever.
VicBond007 can attest to the fact that I actually entered this into the Upbeat category at Otakon, because I felt that the dancey aspects were more prominent than the jokes. He made the decision to move it to Comedy after the prescreening.
Cyanna and I had the same reaction here: Holy crap, Godix actually LIKES one of my videos?!?godix wrote:I kinda agree with castor. Editing wise, there was nothing spectacular. The entire appeal of the video is strictly the song. But I really like the song, so I liked it anyway.

.... I'm stunned, guys. I still won't apologize for getting this song stuck in anyone's head, but seriously, thank you, everyone.
