Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Here is my first AMV on a-m-v.org.

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... p?v=123546

Title: Silly Monkeys

Anime: Akira, Bleach, Cowboy Bebop, Escaflowne, Evangelion, Fullmetal Alchemist, Gundam Wing, Wolf's Rain

I know that it was uploaded on this site a while back, it's just that I only noticed this section that I was supposed to annouce the video. So apologies for that.

This is not the best AMV in the world mainly because I have been using WMM and it was a while since I had completed it, so there are some things that I could have improved on.

So, I hope you like it.

Kinda seemed like a bunch of unrelated scenes from anime just randomly stuck together with a song over it. Divix logo didn't help either.
I love to wear absurd and totally impractical garments. What's more, I derive great pleasure from spending time with women for no apparent reason.
I'm just that kind of person. - Sousuke Sagara

I really was bored at minute 2 or something around that. There was nothing original which would really kept my interest in watching further. I would have tried to cut the song so that you had the chance to focus on the exciting parts of the song. The music sync wasn't too bad, but it could have been better

Bad things I could figure out were the video quality and the divx logos as well as cartoon network logo in the right corner.

OK, the reasons for those were because I don't have any kind of DVD Ripping Program where I can rip Anime DVDs into AVI files.

As for the Divx logo and the Cartoon Network logos, at the time, I couldn't find any downloadable animes or anything that I could have used for certain clips. So I was reduced to using Mozilla Foxfire and downloaded a few clips from Youtube into FLV files and converted them into AVI files using Amadis Video Converter.

Keep in mind, this video was made nearly one year ago, so it really hasn't aged well and if I have the chance, or the right software for that matter, I would reedit the whole thing, but since I'm using Windows Movie Maker, it's crap.

I remember when I had finished the video and tried to save it to My Videos, it couldn't load. I had to split it into four parts. That was how bad WMM is.

I've been trying to find things remoted to Sony Vegas to do better editing skills.

Any particular sites I could try to find any kind of DVD Ripper to upload my Anime DVDs to my Computer?
