  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Two AMVS: Experiments in Lipsynching and Senseless Action

Post by Mark SYNTHESIS » Tue Aug 01, 2006 8:43 pm

Hi there! I'm sure you get plenty of topics from rabid newbies like myself, so I'll cut to the chase.

I produced these two AMVs some time ago, and only recently worked up the nerve to submit them--I have a few others, but then again, nerve's short.

The first is the more recent one, and is me poking fun at two very funny things (in my opinion): Aerosmith and Final Fantasy X-2. Lipsynching CG is quite hard, I find, but that's what you get. I'm also hoping that I can encourage people to rip their own FFX-2 footage from the DVDs rather than take it from previous existing sources (please, no DivX in the corner).

The second was a novel idea when I thought of it, but several codecs, about a dozen discs, and one computer reformat later, I'm guessing it's not quite as novel, and it's quite amateurish, I'm sure. Still, there's a lack of strictly-Last Exile AMVs (at least, I think there is)....no shortage of Nightwish though, heh.

Anyway, take a look, I'd really appreciate any constructive criticism to help hone my skills (as I'm sure I need to).

A combination of negligence and glitches in my encoding software--well, it happens.
