Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

First Try at AMV Creation

Post by Azrigar » Wed Jun 14, 2006 7:18 pm

I finally decided to try my hand at making an AMV. It's my first true attempt at both video editing and AMV creation.

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... p?v=119823

It's Advent Children to "Wish I Had an Angel" by Nightwish.
Overdone? Probably. Still a decent video? I think so, but that's why I want people to take a look and let me know. I would like some feedback on the editing and such.

It's also on YouTube if you would prefer to check there instead of downloading.

poorer quality, but instant gratification.

Anyway, there it is. Hope you enjoy!

So far I have received one very useful opinion and one completely non-related quick comment concerning the sexual prefernece of the characters and their compensation issues. -_-

Thank you to the people who have given star ratings so I get an idea where I stand, and a big thank you to ninevrise for the useful criticism and advice.

I could still use some more input on what to do to make things better before I even plan on doing either a second AMV or a complete reworking of this one, so please feel free to either leave opinions or respond here.

Every tip helps.

Don't bump your thread. That only works to annoy people. Accept your lack of replies gracefully and leave your the thread alone. If you want ops, go to the opinion exchange forum.
