Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Cool down. As I already told you, it's not your fault that Macross Zero has so few and too short action szenes (for a Macross-series).
You did your best to make some really good scenes. Overall flow suffered from too much going on sometimes, but it's not in a destroying way.

There is only one thing I really don't like: that you haven't kept a lossless version. Now you won't be able to make a proper h.264 encode. ,_,

Well I love the source material & I loved your video, Warheart.

I was completely blown away by the editing on this one, and I feel you managed to capture the emotional cues of the music perfectly with the action on screen. Its one of those vids you watch and it just feels "right".

Awesome job. 8-)

Alex: It's not like I think of your video as "decent", it's just that it's not the kind of videos I prefer ;). You have your editing-style I have mine, and man you know exactly how often we come to talk this shit over :P. Differences in taste, but that doesn't mean that a video is bad ;).

Paul: Yes, I will be there ^^. I live like 500m away from War's place, so you can imagine that we have a lot of contact ;).

But then the music picked up and this turned into one awesome action vid. I was thouroughly blind-sided by how great this vid turned out to be. The best thing this vid has is intensity in the footage to match the music, whenever the music got harder the stuff on-screen started blowing up and that's always a good thing. Keep up the great editing!
Yes, I tried to apply the footage to the song as good as I could that was the main thing about this video for me afterall, since you praised it I guess I did something right there. :) So the start was kind of slow and then it takes up to be a combat video, and with that track I was able to use a broad variety of source and editing styles. Cool to see you liked the concept.

I still like the anime no matter how much yo bash it. And about the h264 I already told you it's not worth to get h264 :P. But I promise to release all of my upcoming videos exclusively in h264 if you help with the encode if I'm stuck of course ;).

Glad that my action editing seems to be convincing. Slowly my doubts about this video are starting to fade since most people seem to like this. Thanks for the comment.

That was really kick ass. I love how you made the footage shake up in the fast portions and I believe used some glowing effect in other parts. It had a great mood, really slow and mellow at first and I thought even this tone is cool then you hit us with the action portion and I love how you had different scenes on top of the action it was badass and I haven't even watched the Anime.

Yeah, alot of people said that but I'm a man likes to sync wehter then relying on flow since it never works for me. I guess it was good training tough since I at least tried to edit with a bit flow and not only straight sync. Thanks for the comment :)
