Superhero: the extended version (Dokuro, Drawn Together)

Post by Uanime5 » Wed Jan 04, 2006 7:20 am

In this AMV Sakura (from Club-to-death Angel Dokuro) narrates the extended version of the song 'If I could be a Superheo' (Stephen Lynch talks to the auidence and they suggest Superheroes) and have the cast of 'Drawn Together' play the Superheroes.

WARNING: this version contains stronger language and more adult consepts than the normal 'If I could be a Superhero' song, such as 'Fuck-you Dude' and Butt-sex Man'. This AMV also contains blood and some violence.

This AMV is over 5 minutes long and uses a lot of DVD footage. Also I did get permission to upload it.

Having looked at how long it is i don't think that's a viable excuse this time, it's only five minutes long, i could name quite a few vids that are considerably longer and yet have much smaller file sizes...and i'll bet you could too if you looked

The Huffy version of this AMV was 4.64Gb and I uses Virtual Dub's DIVX setting to reduce it to 158mb.

If would be more helpful it you posted ways you can reduce file sizes, rather than bitch about how large it is.

You can find information on how to compress audio in VDub here.

So I should convert my wav files into mp3's before making my AMV.

Is there anyway to compress the audio of an AMV after you have made it?

The linked stuff refers to postproduction -- don't try to edit using mp3 files. The guide also uses VDubMod, which I should have pointed out; those of us who use just regular VDub can select Audio -> Compression (full processing mode must be on, obviously) and select the preferred codec and bitrate from the list presented. If you have the AMVApp, you probably also have LAME; I use that in 192/44.

Thanks, my file size is now only 110mb. I'll have to repost this AMV and some of my other AMVs as soon as I can.
