An Arrogant AMV Anthology

Post by Haunter103 » Mon Jul 18, 2005 10:10 pm

Several short AMVs combined to make a whole, in the style of AMV Hell. The hook is that they’re all using songs done by the Canadian group, the Arrogant Worms. Most of the individual parts stand alone in their comedy, and will be enjoyable to anyone, despite having seen the anime. However some are more anime-dependant (the Bleach part for sure, and possibly those who have seen My HiME will get greater enjoyment out of that part, but it’s not necessary). So all you Bleach fans check it out, I made that one part just for you. I don't normally post my new videos on the forums, but I'm feeling somewhat ... arrogant about this one :twisted:. I think you all will really like it, so check it out (criticism welcome):

In my opinion, the Mai-HiME segment was ungodly hilarious and my favorite one. Second was the He is My Master segment. :D

Overall, quite good; it'll be better if I show this with a large group of people in order to get the maximum comedic effect.

You didn't use Tokyo Love Song? That's surprising...

Excellent video, the only thing that really stood out was the bleach video. I've seen all of bleach so far, but it didn't really strike me as belonging with the rest of them, but it was still well edited.

Nice job. I didn't like the cheesy effects for switching bits but other than that pretty good. Is that arrogant worms somehow tied into Three Dead Trolls In A Baggie cause I know the 1812 song you used is exactly the same version Three Dead Trolls released years ago.

He WAS going to use tokyo love song (and I think he still wants to) but he couldn't find a good deal on the series he wanted to use so not this time.

Personally I liked them all but my favorites were the Mai-Hime and the Ranma one.

From the Arrogant Worms website:

And as cool as these songs are...
we do not sing, or have ever sung,

* The War of 1812,
* The Toronto Song,
* The Ontario Song,
* Toronto Sucks or
* Ontario Sucks.

They are by Three Dead Trolls in a Baggie. You should look them up at www.deadtroll.com

Other songs we never wrote include:

* Cows with Guns - Dana Lyons
* Wayne Gretzky Rocks - TPOH

That's interesting and good to know.

and SuperFusion: Guess not everyone is going to like it. Oh well. I thought it was good.
