"Remember, You're Nothing" - My First Action Video

Post by Voices_Of_Ryan » Thu Feb 24, 2005 7:56 pm

Remember, You're Nothing
Footage: DragonballZ - The History of Trunks [Special #2]
Artist: Clint Mansell
Song: Pi.r2 [R Square]

I've always wanted to do a simple action video.
So finally a few weeks ago I decided to just bust out and make a video that had everything I just was so aching to do (a few effects, some text and alot of Dbz : P).

I hope you enjoy my first attempt at an action only video.

Neat, I didn't expect you to make a DBZ AMV. Great job on it. Nice story telling and great use on effects. I really enjoyed it! 4/5

I'm actually a pretty huge fan of Dragonball so I've wanted to do something since I have a massive amount of dvds of the Shows/Movies.

I thought you may like it since you did an iron shef of it once... Just didn't expect you ever to make another one again. Caught me by surprise there. hehe!!!! You've always seemed good at story telling in AMVs, ever thought of being a writer or somethin'???

Just for future reference, the code for the "²" character is Alt+0178.

Basically the only thing I really wanted to comment on was that Trunks (or whoever it is) powering up in the beginning didn't seem to really fit the more mellow mood of the music at that point.

All I really have left to say is:
1:00: MATHEMATICS IS THE LANGUAGE OF NATURE. 8-)

You are lucky I'm a Trunks fan. Seriously, the video was good but the opening came too quickly. There wasn't enough time to absorb what was happening until after the first scene. Good quality and story overall but too short. I can't criticize that too much cause I'm guilty myself. The one thing is that I was expecting more action since this was supposed to be an action video but I didn't get that until the very end. Now I'm rambling.

Perhaps

8-)
Honestly though, I've been taking Lyric and poetry classes. Not to mention a few basic lit classes. Maybe someday I can write something more than a video but for now. Glad you're enjoying it.

i agree, i'm sure you couldn't help it, but you added a pretty strong element of story to this

there's a mixture of Action and also Character Profile

not that the mixture is bad, this is a great vid and it's got a good story to it that's easy to follow once it's all said and done, but yeah, more action would be kule for a truer action vid
*video quality was EXTRA crispy and the editing was top-notch

either way major -age
If you're reading this, you've gone too far...PREPARE FOR RETRIBUTION!!
Don't judge an AMV by it's anime.. u nooB ;D

I liked 1:04 to the end, the rest felt a tad bit slow. Still, it's definitely worth a looksee and isn't bad by any means.
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.
