Are the spoilers for Trigun very big? More importantly, would someone who hasn't seen any of the anime recognize a spoiler when he saw it? I've seen the other three, so I wouldn't mind spoilers for those.
Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

EXCELLENT use of cuts and scene selection for the lyrics. I enjoyed this one quite a bit. My only complaint were the 3-4 scenes of people talking, which hurt the otherwise flawless mood and flow of the motion in the clips. Very good work.
Debating between 4 or 5 stars, will rate about watching a few more times.

The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

Well, someone told me the Trigun spoilers were nothing I'd really recognize so I went ahead and watched it.
Lyrically, one of the better videos I've had the privilege of watching. I loved all the symbolism, and each line seemed to strike a chord. It flowed very well, which surprises me considering it was multi-anime. I've never considered using more than one anime for a song with a story like this.
The editing was... not what I hoped it would be. The atmosphere was great in most parts, but some scene selection seemed out of place (most of those could be attributed to the fact that I haven't seen Trigun, however). It also did flow fairly well. But sometimes there was too much regular-speed action, and the song doesn't call for action. I think you could have made it more moody and atmospheric with a slightly different sort of editing, and that would have complemented the story. Really, I don't like to criticize editing. You did what was needed, and possibly, in your mind, beyond. But I would have loved more.
I can't decide whether I want to give it a 3 or a 4. One one hand, taking on a song like this with four different anime and doing it well deserves quite a bit of respect. On the other hand, I think you're an experienced enough editor to do something more with the editing.
Regardless, it was a good video.

Thank you for the feedback on the video.
As for the action... You can't have a video about a bunch of fighters without some action. The choices they make is in their actions, not in their standing still.
Lip flaps... I'll have to see when those were... The scenes were far more important then if people were talking in them or not.
I'm just happy that this video and my Amadeus video are both about balancing the footage with the music, and it's good to hear I succeeded in that.
I just think if I used different editing, I wouldn't have covered what I wanted to in the video.

Like I said, I don't like to criticize editing style. I don't like when people criticize my style, because I usually have my own reasons for editing the way I did. I did like the video though, don't get me wrong.anneke wrote:I just think if I used different editing, I wouldn't have covered what I wanted to in the video.
