Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

For DDR project junkies...while you wait for the DDR4 BT

Post by Kusoyaro » Sat Oct 09, 2004 12:13 am

I uploaded these a couple weeks ago, but forgot to post an announcement.

Both of these videos are from DDR1, 3rd mix, though they aren't on the ExpertDV DVD. A week before AWA that year, we had major tech problems with a few of the tracks, so a bunch of tracks needed to be filled ASAP...and there was no otakuvideo.com back then, so the tracks had to be mailed. Meaning they had to be done several days before final compilation began. Basically, I did these both in a couple of hours. Also, it was my first time using Premiere :P I had to use whatever footage I randomly had sitting on my shelf. So yeah, they more or less suck.

Get Up and Dance

If You Can Say Goodbye

The first video played at the AWA premiere, but didn't end up in the final version of the project, as they salvaged the original editor's track in time for the DVD. The second video never played at all, as they were able to salvage the original editor's track during the con. So basically, if you weren't at AWA 7, you probably haven't ever seen either of these tracks.

I believe there are two tracks by other editors which also didn't make it into the final version...the original plan was to include these "lost" tracks on the DVD as alternate angles or something, but I guess that never happened.
I have no idea how to use this new forum.
