Pretty amazing AMV for a 1st AMV maker.... anyways when you think you can't do better in windows movie maker you should try Adobe premiere... digital effects are limited in WMM and not much funtions are there... well keep up with the good work :D i want to see more of your AMV in the future.

yeh i was planning to do that on my secound AMV. Yehh WMM was limited... there was no good digital effects at all... i jus use fade in and out...
... yeh here are my mistakes that i made during the AMV...

-No digital effects seen, ( fade in/out doesn't count )
-No sense of an overall story, felt more like a movie teaser than an AMV.
-Has a very 'everyone vs everyon else' feel.
-macroblocks
-avoidable divx wattermark
-video quality noticably lower than source materia

These mistakes were given to me from opinions... acutally its not as much i thought it would to be but oh well i didnt spend to much time on my 1st AMV cause i jus wna finish it...
Anyways i will fix these mistakes in my 2nd AMV and start to use Adobe premiere.... :D

Putting digital effects doesn't always make the video better.

you don't need transitions all the time lol, you can have these short ass small 0.50 of second clip tied with like 20 other clips like that <note: no transitions or effects> and its this flying orgasm of moving images that shoot out at you <best to use dramatic scenes> in a very climatic part of a video.

Another cool ideal is to just have the images "jump" out at you, like sawy when the drum beat kicks in with the song, the video clip jumps in and the video clip is a clip with a lot of motion.

Another pointer, if there is words spoken or sung by an artist, try to have similar video clips that go with the song <like Jay-Z's "X guna Give it to ya" song goes well with renegade anime characters fighting each other, you can see that in my amv that i will upload shortly there after i finish it up in the next hour or so, here's the link until then:

but yeah i just got my first vid uploaded, i had a glitchy error in it, the FTP i used wan't updated thus causing my video to be uber glitchy lol, so your not the only one out there en stuff, keep up the work man

effects should only be used for a reason, to enhance a particular mood or help tell the story in a more interesting way.... not just to look pretty ;p They should always add to the video, and not distract from the story your trying to tell. anyway for new editors, I'd always suggest mastering the art of story telling and synching before considering foraying into the world of digital effects ^^
