To the author:
Why don't you try to convert the AMV to divx? I'm pretty sure the file will be a whole lot better and the size will be smaller, too. My zip disk can only hold 95.7 MB, so I can't download the video. At doom9.org, they have a pretty good program to convert from MPG-2 to avi. It's called AutoGK. To me, a 4 minutes, good qualtiy AMV should have about 60MB or less using Divx Codec. My videos are big because I try to discourage people from downloading them

No. You can never gain quality by converting from one format to another (I'm not taking filtering into account).

Now if you had an original lossless or near-lossless copy that you compressed to make the .WMV you've got up now, and you took that original lossless or near-lossless copy and converted that to DivX, it might come out better than the .WMV.

I wrote the previous post under a lot of assumptions. I'm glad you cleared that up.

I really thought the emotional face was supposed to convey something.

Hmm...to be honest, I didn't find it all that interesting...a few syncs (like when Cloud stuck the buster sword in the ground) were cool, but the only thing I liked was seeing all that Advent Children/Kingdom hearts footage I had yet to see, yet I am angry at the same time because I don't want to see that much....gurr.

And the filesize was insane for such shitty quality...especially the FFX-2, FFVII, and FFVIII clips.
